This Gentleman's Club attempts to meet weekly in a downtown Los Angeles venue packed full of artifacts of days past. It was my privilege to give two presentations to the club; one on Pancho Barnes; the other on Flying Carpets, Flying Wings. The highlight of the evening was sitting next to one of the team members that found the Titanic and a couple who circumnavigated the earth multiple times.
The following is from the club's home page:
Our members have traveled from the Oceans greatest depths to outer space and the many wondrous places between. Whether trekking across Death Valley, climbing the Himalayas, diving the Arctic and Antarctic or sailing the worlds waterways – land, sea, air, and beyond, members of the Adventurers’ Club share a common goal. They leave the beaten path to explore the globe and return to share their adventures. The Adventurers’ Club also invites other world-class adventurers to share their tales.
